Mike has 27 years of experience as an engineering leader, trainer, and
project management professional, and is certified as a New Product
Development Professional (NPDP) by the Product Development and
Management Association (PDMA). By experience and examination, Mike has
demonstrated mastery of the following new product development topics:

- New Products Process
- Tools & Metrics
- Teams, People & Organizational Issues (Training and Coaching)

Mike is the founder and President of PPD Consultants. He was most
recently a co-founder and Vice President of NetIDEAS, Inc, a product lifecycle
management software hosting company. His 27 years of engineering and
project management experience also includes engineering and leadership
roles with Lockheed Martin, General Electric, RCA, and the US Navy. Mike is
also an adjunct faculty member at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA,
where he teaches graduate and undergraduate students in Statistics and
Project Management.

Mike is currently a third year student for the Ph.D. in Organizational
Leadership at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. His academic credentials
include BS Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, MBA from Rowan
University, and MS Engineering, Management of Technology from the
University of Pennsylvania, a joint program from the Moore School of
Engineering and Wharton School of Business, with additional post-graduate
studies at Penn.

Since the late 1990s, Mike has been responsible for major Customer
consulting and training engagements with commercial and industrial
manufacturing firms and US government agencies and contractors,
including: SpectraPrecision, AIDA America, Lockheed Martin, US Navy, US
Army, US Air Force, US Coast Guard and NASA-Kennedy Space Center.
Mike has been a speaker and guest lecturer at PDM industry conferences
and seminars (DH Brown, Management Roundtable, Daratech) and at the
University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He has been
published in several media, including professional publications, conference
and symposia reports, web site s, and corporate journals. Mike is also a
member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
